Music Director

Tracy Wilson was appointed Conductor and Music Director of the Stockbridge Sinfonia in 2018. She is the retired Executive Director of the Berkshire Music School, serving from 2003 until 2020. Prior to this appointment, she served for seven years with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as Director of Tanglewood Annual Funds and Community Relations. Before BSO, she served at the Berkshire Museum as Development Director and twice as interim director/co-director. She also worked for two years at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, having moved from Washington, D.C. to the Berkshires in the fall of 1985.

Tracy earned a Masters of Music and Arts Administration degree from the University of Nebraska, with additional studies at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Upon completion of her Masters degree, she worked for three years at the Kennedy Center as its Education Program Coordinator. She has taught music appreciation classes at the University of Nebraska and Berkshire Institute for Lifetime Learning (now OLLI). Tracy served as music director for the Weston, VT Playhouse cabaret and assistant music director for the main stage productions for three years.

She is an active musician as a collaborative pianist, conductor of the Stockbridge Festival Chorus and is very excited to be with the Stockbridge Sinfonia as our Music Director.

Music Director Emeritus

Simeon Loring conducted the Stockbridge Sinfonia for seventeen years, before which he served as a member of the clarinet section, soloist, guest conductor, and vice president. He conducted the Kingsborough College Community Band in a successful series for twenty-five years. Simeon Loring is the artistic director of L'Amore della Musica Woodwind Quintet, a professional chamber music ensemble in New York City since 2004.

Simeon is the retired Chair of the Music Department and Professor Emeritus of Music at Kingsborough Community College (CUNY), and former member and guest conductor of the Goldman Band. He was on the staff of radio station WEVD and has conducted in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
