Tracy Wilson was appointed Executive Director of the Berkshire Music School in October 2003. Prior to this appointment, she served for seven years with the Boston Symphony Orchestra as Director of Tanglewood Annual Funds and Community Relations. Before BSO, she served at the Berkshire Museum as Development Director and twice as interim director/co-director. She also worked for two years at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, having moved from Washington D.C. to the Berkshires in the fall of 1985.
Tracy earned a Masters of Music and Arts Administration degree from the University of Nebraska, with additional studies at Catholic University in Washington D.C. and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Upon completion of her Masters degree, she worked for three years at the Kennedy Center as its Education Program Coordinator. She has taught music appreciation classes at the University of Nebraska and Berkshire Institute for Lifetime Learning (now OLLI). Tracy served as music director for the Weston, VT Playhouse cabaret and assistant music director for the main stage productions for three years.
She is an active musician as a collaborative pianist, conductor of the Stockbridge Festival Chorus and now very excited to begin with the Stockbridge Sinfonia as our new Music Director.
